If you’ve ever felt called to help others feel lighter, healthier, and more confident in their bodies, a career in colonic hydrotherapy — also known as colonic irrigation — could be the perfect next step.

I’m Erica Hartley, an Advanced Colonic Hydrotherapist, Trainer, and Vice Chair of RICTAT (The International Register of Integrative Colon Therapists and Trainers). With nearly 15 years of experience in gut health and holistic wellbeing, I’ve helped hundreds of students and thousands of clients understand the power of a healthy digestive system.

At my Sheffield-based training centre, A New U, I offer accredited colonic hydrotherapy training in the UKthat blends flexibility, depth, and hands-on experience — ideal for anyone looking to build a rewarding career in holistic health.

Flexible, Blended Learning

My colonic hydrotherapy training course is designed to fit around your lifestyle. Most of the learning can be completed remotely or online, allowing you to study from the comfort of your home.

Once you’ve completed the online theory, you’ll join me in Sheffield for 7 days of practical, hands-on training. During this week, you’ll gain real clinical experience, working with live clients in a calm, professional setting at my clinic, A New U.

I’ve successfully trained students from all over the UK and Ireland, many of whom have gone on to open their own successful clinics or integrate colonics into existing therapy practices.

Why Train in Colonic Hydrotherapy (Colonic Irrigation)?

Colonic hydrotherapy, also known as colonic irrigation, is a gentle and effective therapy that helps to cleanse, rebalance, and revitalise the colon. It supports detoxification, improves digestion, and helps relieve common issues such as bloating and sluggishness — leaving clients feeling lighter, more energised, and refreshed.

As awareness of gut health and functional medicinegrows, qualified colonic hydrotherapists are in higher demand than ever.

Why Train with Me?

With nearly 15 years of clinical and teaching experience, I offer a deeply supportive, professional learning experience that blends science, safety, and real-world practice.

You’ll receive:

  • Accredited RICTAT colonic hydrotherapy (colonic irrigation) training recognised across the UK and internationally.
  • Online learning for theory and foundational modules.
  • 7 days of practical training with me in Sheffield for hands-on experience.
  • Post-course mentoring and guidance to help you launch your practice.
  • An optional Anatomy & Physiology course, available for an additional fee if you don’t already hold this qualification.

Training is kept to small groups, ensuring every student receives the personal attention and support they need to feel confident and competent.

Trusted by Nurses and Health Professionals

Over the years, I’ve trained many nurses, nutritionists, and healthcare professionals who have discovered that colonic hydrotherapy complements their existing clinical skills beautifully.

Many go on to incorporate colonic irrigation into a functional medicine approach, helping clients address the root causes of digestive and systemic issues through holistic, preventative care.

Learn from Experience You Can Trust

My own gut health journey began well before “gut health” became a buzzword. After working with thousands of clients and students, I’ve seen just how powerful this therapy can be — for physical health, emotional balance, and overall vitality.

As a RICTAT-accredited trainer, I’m committed to sharing my knowledge, professional standards, and passion with every student who trains with me.

Affordable and Accessible Training

I understand that starting a new career can be a big investment — that’s why I offer flexible payment options to help spread the cost of both training and colonic machine setup.

This allows you to focus on your studies and practical experience without the stress of paying everything upfront.
